As pastor, Jason Bakker preaches on a regular basis, constantly prays for our church body, offers pastoral care, and serves with ABC’s other elders in leading and overseeing the ministry of the church as a whole. Jason grew up in a Christian family in northwest Indiana and came to faith in Christ around 5 years old. In high school he felt the Lord leading him to a helping profession and during his time at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI studying social work God made it clear that He was calling Jason to pastoral ministry. Jason switched his course of study, earning a B.A. in sociology and took courses to prepare for further ministry training. A couple years after college he began attending Dallas Theological Seminary, where he earned a Master of Theology degree in pastoral leadership. Jason served at Salem United Brethren Church in Chambersburg, PA for 13 years prior to becoming Senior Pastor of ABC in July of 2020.
